What Happens During a Pre-Move Survey?
To prepare an accurate quotation for your international move, we will visit your home in advance to assess the volume of your belongings, your preferred shipping methods, and other important details.
This guide will walk you through the entire process—from scheduling your appointment to receiving your quotation.
1 Schedule Your Pre-Move Survey
First, we will contact you by email or phone to arrange a convenient date and time for the survey.
2 Our Staff Will Visit Your Home
Once the date and time have been confirmed, one of our bilingual staff members will visit your home for the survey.
After arriving, we will walk through your home with you and check the furniture, household goods, and other belongings you are planning to ship.
Your belongings will generally be divided into the following two categories:
Our staff will estimate the approximate volume of the items in each category so that we can prepare your quotation.
If you are unsure whether certain items should be sent by sea or air, you can discuss the available options with our staff during the survey.
3 We Will Confirm the Details of Your Request
Once we have finished checking your belongings, we will go over the information you provided when you requested your quotation.
We will confirm important details such as:
- Your destination
- Your preferred moving schedule
- Your preferred shipping methods
- Any special requirements related to your move
4 Feel Free to Ask Us Any Questions
After everything has been checked, we will ask if you have any additional questions.
If you have any concerns about shipping methods, packing, the moving-day process, or anything else related to your international move, please feel free to ask our staff.
If there are no further questions, the pre-move survey is complete.
5 We Will Send Your Quotation by Email
After the survey, we will prepare your quotation based on the estimated volume of your belongings, shipping methods, and other details confirmed during our visit.
Once your quotation is ready, we will send it to you by email.
